Environmental, Health and Safety Manager (Assistant Director) at SAVI EHS
Pay range: $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr
Full‑Time: One Day Shift Role, One Night Shift Role
Job Description SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional specializing in airport construction. The ideal candidate will hold strong safety credentials such as OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, STSC, or equivalent, and possess proven experience managing safety programs on complex construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for all project operations
Conduct and document daily EHS inspections
Deliver site‑specific project safety orientations
Assist with coordinating crane and lifting activities
Participate in Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) processes
Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and develop corrective actions
Partner with project leadership to promote an injury‑free workplace
Collect and evaluate safety metrics (leading/lagging indicators) to identify trends
Review EHS plans and assist with developing new safety procedures as needed
Ensure subcontractor compliance with all EHS requirements
Confirm craft workers are fully trained for assigned tasks
Collaborate closely with trade contractor EHS teams and support the project safety leadership group
Act as liaison with the client’s risk management team
Deliver EHS training modules and support a positive reinforcement safety program
Qualifications
5+ years of construction EHS experience
Experience with airport expansions or refabrication projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety management tools
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (preferred)
OSHA 500/510 and professional safety certifications such as ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, or STSC
