Job Description The position is contingent on funding. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is a U.S. Navy component that leads criminal investigation, counter‑terrorism, counter‑intelligence, and cyber matters. NCIS provides threat status and warnings to the Department of the Navy and fuses national intelligence and law‑enforcement information to protect U.S. interests worldwide. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports NCIS’s mission by planning and delivering services through people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
Responsibilities
Perform an on‑prem SharePoint 2019 farm upgrade from SharePoint 2013.
Provide Microsoft SharePoint 2019 administrator support for a large DoD customer.
Administrate SharePoint Online and manage SharePoint Enterprise search, index configurations, and scheduling.
Support Microsoft SQL Server in a SharePoint environment.
Maintain Windows Servers, Active Directory (including ADFS, DNS, SMTP, Network Load Balancing, Reverse proxy, Windows Firewall), Event Viewer, Performance Monitoring, and PowerShell scripting.
Administer and manage IIS and its relationship with .NET, ASP.NET, application pools, configuration files, and authentication.
Perform site creation, configuration, and permissions management; troubleshoot site problems and support business‑critical workloads.
Plan and implement service packs, hotfixes, updates, and patches during off‑peak hours, communicating downtime to stakeholders.
Execute data retrieval, backup procedures, clean‑ups, archiving, and storage space optimization to prevent data loss.
Analyze usage reports and adjust settings to ensure optimized user experience.
Apply Information Assurance practices and STIGs; coordinate security operations within the cybersecurity accreditation‑risk management framework (RMF) continuous monitoring process.
Qualifications & Experience
7+ years of SharePoint Administration experience.
Proficiency with SnapManager, AvePoint DocAve/Fly products.
Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365.
Multiple Microsoft SharePoint Administration certificates (various versions).
Security+ CE certification.
B.S./B.A. degree.
Senior: Mid‑Senior level, Full‑time.
Location: Hybrid—3 days onsite at Quantico, VA, 2 days remote.
Required
Active TS/SCI clearance (must currently possess and be able to obtain).
U.S. citizenship.
Position currently pending funding.
Travel: None.
Telecommuting option: Hybrid.
Work hours: 40 per week.
