Hospitalist Physician Nocturnist
Meritus Health is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician Nocturnist to provide quality care at Meritus Medical Center.
Key Job Functions:
Provide general medical care at Meritus Medical Center.
Offer in-hospital patient care and consultations as needed.
Participate in non-traditional inpatient services such as admitting and managing patients.
Assist in the operation of residents and medical students.
Participate in Medical Staff activities as required.
Observe bylaws, rules, and regulations of the hospital and medical staff.
Demonstrate commitment to patient safety; attend education sessions, debriefs, and root cause analyses.
Common Expectations:
Participate in Medical Staff activities as requested.
Observe the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff.
Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety by complying with safety standards and best practices.
Attend education sessions, debriefs, and root cause analysis as needed to improve outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited school and licensed to practice in desired state.
Residency in the United States.
Minimum two years of direct work or internship experience.
Current DEA and CDS Certificate of Registration; state licensure; current BLS required.
ACLS and PALS as applicable; surgeons require ACLS and PALS depending on patient population.
Knowledge of medical principles, procedures, pharmacology, and effective communication skills.
