Organise Fundraising Events

: Be part of a dynamic team that plans and executes exciting events to support hospice services. Attend Cheque Presentations

: Represent North Tipperary Hospice at cheque presentations from other fundraisers. Progression Opportunities

: Volunteers have the chance to advance and become board members of North Tipperary Hospice.

About Us North Tipperary Hospice Roscrea is non-profit organisation that supports the development of hospice/palliative care in the North Tipperary area. We also provide an outreach cancer support and information service which open every Thursday in Roscrea Parish Centre.The aim of the service is to provide support for those who are or have been on a cancer journey.

The Roscrea Hospice Fundraising Committee was formed to raise funds for In-Home care for those terminally ill. Since then, the movemnet has gone from strength to strength and now helps to fund Milford Hospice in Limerick, our own two bed unit in Roscrea (situated in the Dean Maxwell Home), In Home care throughout Tipperary, drop-in centres in Nenagh and Thurles and the provision of Twilight Nurses for those who wish to stay at home when terminally ill. Activity Advice, information and support Where Roscrea What's Required Interest in and experience of being part of a fundraising committee and fundraising events would be helpful but not essential. Other qualities: Enthusiasm Team Players Creative Thinkers Dedication Friendly and Approachable Level of English Required Fluent English Time and Commitment Required for this Role Minimum time commitment: 6 months Hours required: 1 hour weekly Morning Afternoon Evening MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY Screening Details for this Role Informal Interviews Volunteers will be Provided with the Following Supports Support/ advice/ recognition Supervision Initial induction and training Insurance cover Ongoing training opportunities Benefits You Will Receive as a Volunteer Your efforts will directly support hospice care in your local area and connect you with like-minded individuals.
