About The Team The Sentry Tower Software team develops robotic systems for force protection, monitoring secure areas for approaching threats. We leverage sensor fusion and autonomy to create a seamless operational picture for security personnel.

About The Job We seek a Robotics Software Engineer to join our team in Costa Mesa. You will develop and maintain software for Sentry Tower systems, collaborating with stakeholders from internal engineering to field personnel, prioritizing long-term user experience. A 'Whatever It Takes' mindset is essential.

What You'll Do

Own feature development and deployment, such as building simulators, camera autofocus systems, and control redesigns.

Design and implement sensor integrations supporting both human and autonomous operation.

Ensure service functionality, reliability, and alignment with customer needs.

Contribute well-documented, tested code to address critical issues.

Required Qualifications

Proficiency in the full robotics system stack, including sensors and actuation (partial stack acceptable).

4+ years of experience with Rust or C++.

Strong understanding of networking protocols (CAN, Ethernet), hardware interfacing, diagnostics, and cybersecurity related to sensor data transmission.

Experience in high-volume data processing and sensor data analysis.

Solid engineering background, ideally in CS, Software Engineering, Math, or Physics.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Python, Rust, and/or Go.

Knowledge of control algorithms for actuation and motion control.

Salary & Benefits US Salary Range: $138,000—$250,000 USD. Compensation includes competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, life insurance, PTO, parental leave, mental health resources, professional development stipends, meals, commuter benefits, relocation assistance, and 401(k).
