LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in South Bend. The position, Hospital Reference Test Clerk, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices. Work Schedule:
Your planned work schedule will be an 8-hour shift Monday - Friday between 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. with rotating Saturdays 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The hours and location may vary based on business needs and management requests. Work Location:

Job Responsibilities: Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Communicate effectively with client office staff Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer and specimen problems Meet department activity and production goals Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly Identify and label specimens correctly Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated Perform spinning, freezing, splitting, and other special services as needed based on client requirements
Requirements:
This position requires full COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical/religious accommodations. High School Diploma or equivalent 1 year relevant experience preferred (lab, accessioning, healthcare environment) Experience handling biological specimens Ability to accurately identify specimens Teamwork skills Strong data entry and organizational skills High attention to detail Proficiency in MS Office Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Color blindness test passing
