GSP Project Engineer (PE) Job Specifics:

Seeking a candidate to serve as a Project Engineer to provide engineering and project support for various projects. The resource should be experienced in organizing, coordinating, and overseeing engineering design. Responsibilities include building and compiling technical documentation, scopes, and other project support documents. The proposed work schedule will likely be 5/8s, with occasional opportunities for overtime depending on work and Reports-To approval. Mobilization/Demobilization: *** at start and end of assignment at Dominion Energy. The candidate will report to Chesterfield Power Station (Chester, VA). Job Summary:

The Project Engineer is the technical coordinator for all engineering tasks on the project(s), acts as the SME during RFP and Bid Reviews, and assists the Project Leader/Manager in coordinating related tasks. Responsibilities: Ensure all projects are executed with a primary focus on Safety and Environmental Compliance. Work with the Project Leader/Manager to understand project scopes and develop written scopes of work, including those for contracted Owners Engineers (OE). Interface with PG Engineering, Station Management, and other departments as needed. Assist with RFP and Bid Review processes. Develop and review engineering specifications for RFPs. Manage the RFI process on behalf of the Project Leader/Manager. For OE bids: Review development information submitted by OE or external developers. Review land utilization, site design, energy performance, and zoning/land use permits.

For EPC bids:

Provide project information for EPC RFPs. Coordinate review of EPC submittals. Develop project-specific EPC exhibits. Confirm project AC capacity and interconnection design. Review EPC proposals for deviations and exclusions. Review site plans and technical data. Review proposed specification changes with stakeholders.

Assist in developing/reviewing Bid Review Matrices and guide the selection process. Coordinate engineering questions, answers, and troubleshooting with OE and EPC bidders. Coordinate engineering reviews with PG Engineering counterparts. Ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual obligations. Review work in the field for compliance with specifications. Provide knowledge and troubleshooting during startup and commissioning. Assist with other tasks as directed by the Project Leader/Manager.

Qualifications/Experience: Skill in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to manage project engineering performance to meet requirements and schedules. Technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret manuals, instructions, and drawings, and prepare reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. BS degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Minimum of 5 years as a project engineer or assisting a project manager in a multi-functional team environment.

Administrative:
