Data Center Technician

Description Mid-level data center technician with experience in network upgrades and cabling. Responsible for upgrading T2 networking devices in a data center environment. This is a 6-month extendable project with potential for extension or conversion to a long-term role. Project Tasks: Staging, cabling, decommissioning old devices Installation of new devices Link validation, cable replacement Cleanup and reporting Candidate Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in an enterprise data center environment Experience Needed: Removal and installation of T2 chassis Deployment and cabling (Fiber, Copper, Power, Optical) Rack and stack Network upgrading and troubleshooting connectivity Decommissioning network cables Use of ticketing systems Chassis manager login Labeling and staging power and networking cables Handling complex RMA and swaps Physical audits and QC of cabling and assets Testing and troubleshooting power and cable connections Work Schedule:

M-F, 8-5 Skills:

Cable management, network operations, hardware, data center management Additional Qualifications:

Strong networking skills; this is NOT a break/fix role but focused on specific network upgrade projects. Deployment, upgrade, and decommissioning experience are prioritized. Soft Skills:

Intermediate Pay Range:
