Job Description

This full-time position covers the Baltimore region of Maryland, with coverage across Dundalk, Rotunda, and Belvedere centers. UM Urgent Care providers serve as clinical leaders—delivering exceptional medical care, fostering outstanding patient experiences, and working collaboratively with medical assistants and radiologic technologists. We care for patients ages one and older, treating conditions such as upper respiratory infections, sprains, lacerations requiring sutures, employee health physicals, work-related injuries, and preoperative evaluations. Providers work 12-hour shifts (8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.), typically 3 to 4 shifts per week, totaling approximately 12–14 shifts per month. The environment is fast-paced, with a broad spectrum of patient presentations from acute illnesses to minor injuries. Qualifications

Candidates must be licensed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in good standing with Maryland, or have licensure pending approval. An active NPI number, DEA registration, and CDS license are required, or the candidate must be in the process of obtaining them. Prior clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, intensive care, or primary care—whether as a provider, nurse, or technician—is strongly preferred. We seek individuals with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset and a passion for high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate is curious, enthusiastic about urgent care medicine, and receptive to feedback for ongoing professional development. Additional Information

We provide side-by-side clinical training shifts at the start of employment to develop procedural skills, core clinical knowledge, and EHR proficiency. Ongoing support is available, with APP and physician leadership accessible by phone during all operating hours, ensuring providers are never without guidance.
