AMR is hiring high-quality Critical Care Paramedics for San Francisco and Alameda County to provide comprehensive ALS and Critical Care in various patient care settings, including inter-facility transportation. As part of the Global Medical Response family, AMR offers training and education to advance your scope of practice, career growth, and cross-training opportunities as flight paramedics.
Paramedics with at least two years of recent experience can apply for training and certification. Once certified, CCP-C will receive CCT-P pay.
Job Summary The Critical Care Transport Paramedic performs basic and advanced life support, providing critical patient care during transport. They act under the guidance of local AMR and CCT leadership, delivering exemplary care and leadership during transport of critically ill or injured patients. They must utilize advanced critical thinking skills and provide compassionate care in resource-limited, high-need situations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
All duties of a 9-1-1 paramedic, plus:
Operate medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, and advanced airway devices.
Interpret laboratory reports and manage complex pharmacological infusions.
Perform treatments and procedures per certification level and policies.
Lift and move patients safely.
Communicate with receiving facilities and medical direction.
Maintain certifications and complete required training.
Coordinate with dispatch and document patient care accurately.
Assist with ambulance cleanliness and safety.
Engage with community programs and maintain company image.
Adhere to security policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
Unencumbered CA Paramedic license and Ambulance Driver's License.
Medical Examiners Card.
3-5 years of ALS experience.
Current CCP-C or equivalent certification, or obtain within designated time.
Complete CA-approved Critical Care Paramedic course.
Valid CA Driver's License with good driving record.
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP, PHTLS or equivalent.
Able to pass physical agility test.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
