About The Team
Atlas helps you start a company in a few clicks, from anywhere in the world. We believe that startups are one of the most effective ways to solve the worlds problems, and we want to give startup founders a running start. Atlas helps founders form their company, access the internets best tools, and automate operations while feeling ambitious, smart, and assured. Our goal is to create more startups that get to product-market fit, fast.
Our core belief is that the number of startups is not static. By making Atlas the best way to start a company, we can encourage more people to become founders. In fact, 25% of Atlas founders say they wouldnt have started their company if not for Atlas. Founders tell us that they spend too much time and money on distracting and complex administrative tasks, rather than building their product and finding customers. Were here to change that.
What youll do
As a product manager on the Atlas team, youll gain a deep understanding of what early stage founders need to get their company off the ground, identify the most important pain points to solve, set the product strategy, scope product features and technical infrastructure, collaborate with design, drive execution with engineering, craft product marketing, and plan for go-to-market. In short, your role is to ensure Atlas becomes more and more impactful for founders.
Responsibilities
Deeply understand the needs of startup founders and learn how they use Atlas and other startup products Drive product development by setting the pace, prioritizing ruthlessly, and unblocking execution Craft product experiences that are both simple and powerful, with surprisingly great details Write our strategy and deliver business outcomes. Youll think like an investor when it comes to allocating our small team and identifying market opportunities Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, communicate progress with Stripes leadership team, and steer the broader organization to build for early stage startups Represent Atlas externally with founders, venture capitalists, accelerators, and partners
Who you are
Were looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years of product management or product-focused founder experience Shipped user-facing or API products, built on complex technical systems running at scale Passion for helping founders build their businesses Persistence and a whatever-it-takes approach to ensure that your product is successful Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
Preferred Qualifications
Founder background, or experience in a very early stage company environment Software engineering experience, a computer science or engineering degree, or similar technical experience
Hybrid work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.
Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $214,300 - $321,500. For sales roles, the range provided is the roles On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidates experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
