Senior Network Architect – Transaction Network Services (TNS) Join the talented group of professionals at TNS and drive success from both professional and personal perspectives.

Overview As a senior member of the Network Architecture team, you will design, document, and deploy services within a global Managed Service Provider IP/MPLS network. Focus on large‑scale SD‑WAN, IPSec and MPLS VPN, IP multicast, and wired/wireless communications. This role is expanding into private and public‑cloud environments, emphasizing automation, orchestration, and a transition to a NetDevOps model.

Responsibilities

Design and test new technologies, features, and solutions; document results for repeatability and support by the Network Operations Center.

Collaborate with Pre‑Sales Engineers and Product Marketing to understand customer requirements and develop scalable, consistent, and supportable technical solutions.

Evaluate platforms and vendor solutions for integration into TNS’s product suite.

Provide third‑level support to the Network Operations Center and implementations teams.

Develop and document detailed lab test plans, reports, procedures, and new configurations; deliver training and troubleshooting documentation.

Interact with vendors to resolve problems and bugs through hands‑on testing, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

Experience with architecture and provisioning of MPLS or SD‑WAN environments.

Proficient with Fortinet FortiGate devices, especially within SD‑WAN topologies.

Network automation, orchestration tools, and DevOps methodology (Terraform, Ansible, JSON, Nautobot, Arista Cloudvision, Cisco DNA Center).

Expertise in IPSec (including DMVPN and RRI) design, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting.

Experience designing cloud‑based architectures in AWS, Azure, and GCP.

IP Multicast design, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting.

Design and implementation based on high‑level customer requirements.

Extensive TCP/IP and routing knowledge (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, PIM, BFD).

Customer Edge features knowledge such as NAPT, VRRP/HSRP.

Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all implemented solutions.

Expert‑level troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Vendor product evaluation experience (hardware, software, service provider).

Broadband service deployment experience (xDSL, Cable).

Planning and coordinating network maintenance and installation windows.

Hardworking, focused, thorough, and punctual.

Presentation skills – written and verbal for technical topics.

Support experience for Tier 1 and Tier 2 environments.

Self‑motivated and capable of independent or team work with minimal guidance.

Flexibility for on‑call support and flexible hours.

Desirable Skills

Fortinet, Cisco, and/or Juniper certifications (NSE Level 4/5/6/7, CCIE/CCNP‑SP, JNCIE, JNCIP).

Experience with AAA, Tacacs+, Radius, and CA/PKI.

VOIP, Dial Services (Async/PPP, ISDN), wireless services (CDMA, EVDO, GPRS, EDGE, 802.11b/g/n), and server load‑balancing (F5).

Data center design and support (Cisco Nexus, Arista, Juniper).

Experience with F5, NetScaler, AWS ALB/SLB, GIT, Jenkins, and agile practices.

CloudFormation template creation and deployment.

Automation scripting (Python, Ansible) and vendor‑specific tools (Arista Cloudvision, Cisco DNA Center).

Firewall configuration experience with PIX/ASA, IOS, or Netscreen/Junos.

AWS/GCP/Azure architecture design, NSX‑V/NSX‑T networking, and OpenStack automation.

UNIX/Linux experience.

Compensation & Benefits For this role in the U.S., compensation is estimated between $140,000 – $180,000 per year, with variable pay as a bonus or alternative. TNS offers medical and dental coverage, life insurance, paid holidays and vacations, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
