Role
Ecommerce Full Stack Lead Developer on BigCommerce
Expectation Lead who can advise, build and support the development of highly customized commerce experiences for the B2C space.
Location/Experience 8-12 Years Of Experience In US (New Jersey)
Responsibilities
Drive the designs and technical implementation of client stores and ecommerce-related requirements.
Work with various CMS’s, themes and plugins to create functional stores to project requirements.
Collaborate closely with the creative team to validate design UX & UI decisions and deliver on the overall project vision.
Work alongside a small team of developers to discuss solutions, make decisions, estimate/validate, and ensure the technical feasibility of planned feature development.
Report progress and elevate issues or slippage in a timely fashion.
Troubleshoot problems and operate independently.
Skill Set
Expertise in BigCommerce Platform.
Worked extensively in Blueprint/Stencil Framework for BigCommerce.
Template/Theme Creation for BigCommerce.
Symantec HTML5 + CSS pre processors (LESS/SASS).
Node.js.
WebPack.
Vanilla JavaScript/ES6.
Responsive Frameworks – Foundation, Bootstrap.
Fetch API + REST API.
AJAX.
Handlebars template language.
Template Logic.
NPM Package installation.
Secondary
5+ years of experience with the Bigcommerce Platform, specifically a portfolio of stores.
Platform certifications big PLUS.
Full-stack development experience (REST APIs Backend, DB modeling, CI/CD, Deployment automation).
Experience working within Agile project management methodology.
6+ years of experience in high-end front-end development.
5+ years of experience with PHP, Ruby, CSS, SCSS, Javascript.
4+ years of experience with Git and code management.
Experience creating Ecommerce Plugins/modules (public or private).
Experience with React and GraphQL.
Experience with headless commerce.
Experience with other ecommerce frameworks such as: Commerce Tools, SFCC/Demandware, Magento, etc.
