About the Role Grade Level: 13. The Analytical Quality & Validation (AQV) team ensures the highest standards of analytical excellence across S&P Global Ratings. We are committed to maintaining the quality and transparency of our ratings while fostering a collaborative environment that values analytical excellence and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities and Impact
Lead risk‑based analytical quality reviews and provide expert insights in Corporates & Infrastructure (including Project Finance) sectors, supporting analytical excellence and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate analytical work including the application of analytic judgement, fostering robust and sound reasoning supporting rating decisions.
Assess the quality and completeness of evidence and rationales supporting our ratings. Champion transparency and consistency in internal documentation and published rationales, ensuring clear communication of our analytical perspective to stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with analytical teams, including AOCCs and Global Analytics & Methodologies, to provide feedback on ratings performance, analytical processes, and risk trends, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Provide strategic analytical guidance within Covering Analytics, leveraging your expertise to enhance team capabilities and market understanding.
Represent AQV effectively to various stakeholders including Board Members, Regulators, and Senior Ratings Management, serving as a credible spokesperson for our analytical views.
Support strategic priorities of the team and organization while demonstrating leadership presence and fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications
Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience in credit analysis or financial risk assessment.
7+ years of experience in credit analysis, ratings, or financial risk management with demonstrated expertise in Corporates & Infrastructure sectors.
Proven track record of analytical leadership and ability to evaluate complex financial structures and credit risks with sound judgement.
Strong knowledge of rating methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices in credit analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences across all organizational levels.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Project Finance analysis and infrastructure sector expertise.
Previous experience in analytical quality assurance, validation, or review functions within financial services.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across multidisciplinary teams.
Track record of representing organizations in regulatory or industry forums with credibility and professionalism.
Proficiency with Excel (including VBA), R or Python.
Compensation & Benefits (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $179,000 - $224,000 USD. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
Hybrid Work Requirements All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
