Job Summary The Sr. Project Manager will lead multi‑million dollar electrical industry projects in both the public and private sector. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and directing construction projects to meet profit and growth objectives. The role requires deep knowledge of project contracts, scheduling, cost accounting, budgeting, client management, and safety. The Sr. Project Manager will lead project teams, resolve problems, and maintain full financial responsibilities of the project. Outstanding communication and customer service skills are essential. This position is located on a job site in Oakland, CA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the project activities for the projects assigned in accordance with project contract documents, budgets, schedules, quality control and company objectives.
Ensures adherence to project budget and reports any potential risks or discrepancies to the Division Manager and Sr. Management as appropriate.
Leads in developing and supporting the implementation of jobsite security, quality control, and safety programs for each project with the support of the Superintendent, Safety and QC departments.
Ensures accurate and timely project documentation, including but not limited to RFI's submittals, schedule updates, time records, supplemental work orders, change order pricing, and general project correspondence.
Assumes responsibility for the master scheduling process, including upfront collaboration with all stakeholders (Superintendent, Subcontractors, etc.) and integrating man‑loading schedules, milestone schedules, and contract schedules.
Collaborates with Superintendent and field team to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Establishes, maintains, and tracks performance standards for all work performed on assigned project.
Conducts on‑site observations of work during construction to monitor compliance with safety, quality control, sustainability measures and overall project status.
Adheres to the Company uniform project management procedures and cost accounting standards.
Collaborates with Project Controls to prepare, approve and submit project budgets.
Formulates and manages revenue and profit projections for the Division Manager.
Accountable for the cash flow of assigned project, including customer pay applications and payment status, subcontractor/consultant invoicing and payments through collaboration with the Project Team.
Provides technical advice to both clients and employees as needed.
Reviews estimates and proposal scope letters, and participates in bid review process as required.
Reviews RFQ/RFP documents for the solicitation of subcontractors and vendors.
Identifies and manages potential project risks and issues, developing and executing recovery action plans including mitigation plans for claim avoidance.
Enforces compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, safety standards/codes, and contracts (Building and environmental regulations) and reports all variances to the Division Manager.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline preferred.
Minimum 15 years of progressive PM responsibilities (including management of project teams), preferably in electrical construction.
Minimum of 8 years OSHPD, Design Build with Electrical and Low Voltage scope (including Big Room/co‑location), union contractor, responsible for electrical contracts in excess of $60M, Lean project delivery methodology (including IFOA).
Proven experience successfully mentoring and managing a project management team, not just a crew.
Combination of education, training and relevant experience acceptable.
PE license and professional certifications a plus.

Experience with union workforces, labor rate calculations, and collective bargaining agreements preferred.
Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project. Experience with Accubid Classic or Enterprise preferred.
