Responsibilities Team Introduction: Our Recommendation Architecture Team is responsible for building up and optimizing the architecture for our recommendation products to provide the most stable and best experience for our TikTok users. Online Assessment
Candidates who pass resume evaluation will be invited to participate in TikTok’s technical online assessment in HackerRank.
Core Responsibilities
Build and maintain high‑performance online services for the TikTok recommendation system to support various types of products, such as For You Feed, E‑commerce, Social, etc.
Build extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines for candidate generation, profile generation, training‑example generation, real‑time online training, etc.
Build a globalized large‑scale recommendation system.
Design and develop high‑performance computing frameworks and storage systems.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Computer Science or related fields, expected to graduate and start in 2024.
Experience in programming, included but not limited to the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, or Python.
Effective communication skills, self‑driven learner, a sense of ownership.
Projects or research experience in at least one area of the following: personalized recommendations, search engine, machine learning, distributed storage system, or big‑data frameworks is a plus.
Job Information Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112,725 – $177,840 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that compensates employees for their work; this role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country of work location. Employees have day‑one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, life insurance, well‑being benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year, and 17 days of paid personal time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure). The company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
