Structural Engineer IV – Washington, DC Navy Yard
We are seeking a Structural Engineer IV to join our team near the Washington, DC Navy Yard. Upon award, the ideal candidate will:
Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms.
Perform engineering studies leading to the allocation of UxV attributes to UxV systems in terms of design direction, performance, configuration, space and weight, and arrangement.
Perform design and engineering studies to identify the degree of UxV systems integration required to meet the mission requirements.
Provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) of designs in the form of technical products such as drawings, conceptual and product engineering designs, calculations, schematics, reports, etc.
Ensure structures can withstand the stresses and pressures imposed by use and the environment.
Calculate stability, strength and rigidity and make sure the right materials are used for shipbuilding programs.

Position Requirements Required Education, Skills, And Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s in engineering preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of professional experience; 15+ years of professional experience preferred.
Relevant engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs; engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems preferred.
Top Secret clearance
