Position Naval Architect IV – Washington, DC Navy Yard

Responsibilities
Provide analysis on ship hulls and superstructures, study design products and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a ship such as size, weight and speed.
Lead teams from various specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes, evaluate ship performance during dock and sea trials and change designs as needed to meet national and international standards.
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; master’s in naval architecture or marine engineering preferred.
Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in Naval Architecture.
Experience with DoD/DoN procedures and policies (DoD 5000 process) preferred.
Top Secret clearance.
U.S. citizenship.
