About the Role We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Solutions Architect to guide the design and delivery of technology solutions for our business enablement team. This position works side‑by‑side with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to shape cohesive, scalable, and value‑driven solutions.
As a Solutions Architect, you provide technical direction, design insight, and architectural stewardship across multiple domains. You’ll help teams balance innovation with stability, short‑term delivery with long‑term sustainability, and autonomy with alignment to enterprise goals.
Key Responsibilities
Define solution paths in accordance with technology architecture strategies and align with the technology portfolio to achieve desired business outcomes.
Create guiding principles, roadmaps, decision tools, and other solution design artifacts to direct and inform technical solution delivery.
Partner with product teams and other stakeholders on consultations, research, solution design, and solution delivery.
Assist in defining and maturing engineering practices.
Research innovative or emerging technologies and provide recommendations.
Ensure solution economics and total cost of ownership are analyzed when determining the future state of the technology ecosystem.
Education, Experience and Skills
Four‑year technical degree (Computer Science or related discipline) or equivalent training and at least 5 years relevant professional experience.
Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a lead role providing solution architecture.
Experience applying systems thinking principles.
Knowledge of application design principles and experience with modern architectures.
Experience with cloud technologies, including designing and building cloud applications.
Experience researching and leading adoption of innovative or emerging technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Disciplined, focused, and self‑motivated.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Attentive to detail and proven decision‑making abilities.
Preferred
Knowledge of retail and distribution business processes.
Demonstrated experience integrating or converting legacy systems into modern architectures.
Deep knowledge and passion for researching and following industry trends.
Knowledge of and experience with agile and/or lean frameworks.
Knowledge of DevOps and IT operational best‑practices.
Knowledge of technology protocols and standards.
