WHAT WILL YOU DO at JSP?

You will become an integral part of the client relationship team and the firm management team. You will start developing strong, positive working relationships with clients, shareholders and staff the minute you step foot in the door. PASSION! Review and sign business, personal, trusts or estate tax returns Prepare high level tax returns, including state returns Interview clients to obtain information for tax returns or other projects Able to lead projects, define client expectations for deliverables, service and budget Manage client relationships by monitoring client needs, building value into professional service Evaluate the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs Perform tax research and other special projects as they occurr Partner and work collaboratively with the audit team in shared clients Participates as a member of the management team, bringing ideas and feedback in supporting the firm's strategic plan, and participate in firm committees or chairing a committee as needed Provide mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department and participates in performance reviews Manage and delegate duties to supervisors, senior staff and staff Perform client manager duties including billing and collection efforts for book of business clients Participate in community organizations and industry functions Demonstrate competencies in accordance with career development Actively involved in tax department initiatives, work collaboratively with technical lead, as needed Participate in recruiting and business development activities, including outside marketing efforts and preparing proposals WHY WORK at JSP?

A Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or other closely related field. Minimum of 10 years of public tax accounting with experience of the above responsibilities. CPA license (preferred, but not required) Strong team mindset, adaptability skills and ability to identify and make efficiency improvements Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally Ability to multitask with multiple projects Highly motivated, driven and takes initiative Willing to learn, open to feedback and recognize contributions of others Ability to use good judgement and intuition amongst everyday interactions with staff and clients. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients Meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations Demonstrate critical and analytical thinking skills Skills in networking and developing business Proficiency using tax software, trial balance, Excel, Word and Outlook (CCH products a plus) Salary Range: $152,000 - $220,000
