Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Ambulatory – OBGYN – Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.
LPN works under RN and physician direction, supporting OBGYN team in prenatal and gynecology care. Shift 7:00 am to 6:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Provide patient care activities under RN/physician direction.
Collect and document objective/subjective data and observations.
Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
Implement nursing care plans, medication or treatment and communicate patient responses.
Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
Perform routine laboratory tests.
Educate patients and family members.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an approved practical nursing school.
Current Ohio LPN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of patient care experience.
Physical Requirements
Full body motion to move, lift patients; manual finger dexterity; standing, walking, occasional lifting.
Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Medium Work – exerting 20–50 lb occasionally, 10–25 lb frequently, >10 lb constantly to move objects.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follow standard precautions using PPE as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $23.25 Maximum hourly: $33.50
Pay determined after considering work history, experience, skill set and education; does not include shift differentials, overtime or benefits.
