Avery's House is a mental health treatment provider for adolescents. We are currently seeking an experienced, dependable and responsible licensed Clinical Lead to join our adolescent PHP program in Scottsdale, AZ.

The Clinical Lead will work in-person at our Scottsdale office Monday through Friday overseeing the activities of the clinical team. The Clinical Lead also maintains a safe and efficient working and treatment environment per company policies, procedures and best practices; communicates effectively with the treatment team to ensure safe, quality care is provided to all adolescents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Join our team! We are hiring for a Behavioral Health Clinical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a behavioral health clinician who is ready to take on a leadership role but still provide direct client services.

The Clinical Lead will perform the following duties:

Plan and lead staff meetings and trainings

Manage clinical schedules at PHP

Approve time off requests for clinical team

Manage clinical team work schedule

Lead of case managers and/or clinical assistants

Complete annual reviews, 90 day reviews

Assist in interviewing and hiring clinical positions

Work with HR for new employee orientation and onboarding

Complete monthly chart audits

Assist with any policy updates, process changes

Ensure treatment plan reviews are done, as well as ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner to ensure successful billing

Conduct assessments or screenings with clients to evaluate the nature of their presenting problems in order to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plan goals

Meet with other leaders in strategic planning and decision making

Maintain a case load, provide individual treatment, and assist in facilitating groups as needed

Facilitate coordination of care to include case review, therapeutic interventions, and client progress in treatment

Complete other tasks as assigned

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field

Current behavioral health license in Arizona (Associate or independent)

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED

Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, especially word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets.

Knowledge and experience in counseling and case management with mental health and substance abuse clients.

Ability to provide services via video conferencing/tele-therapy when determined appropriate for clients and the organization. Tele-therapy may include evaluation, assessment, consultation, treatment planning, case management, coaching, individual therapy and group therapy. Telehealth will occur primarily through interactive audio, video, telephone and/or other audio/video communications.

Ability to prepare, implement, and analyze treatment plans and psychiatric reports.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, gaining cooperation and resolving conflicts.

Ability to plan and organize case workload, manage deadlines of him/herself.

Ability to maintain and demonstrate ethical professional standards and demeanor, including the confidentiality of employee and client data, client boundaries, and other sensitive information.

Demonstrated competence with, and continued commitment to respect for cultural differences and diversity, protecting client rights.

Recognition of the limits of one’s own professional expertise and the willingness to seek supervision and/or support, as needed.

Makes clinical and organizational decisions with the clients’ and agency well-being and best interests in mind.

Provide treatment that promotes client dignity, independence, individuality, strength, privacy and choice, recognizing the unique needs of the client population served by the agency.

Provide the behavioral health services that the agency is authorized to provide and that the staff member is qualified to provide.

Recognize obvious symptoms of a mental disorder, personality disorder, or substance abuse.

Identify types of medications commonly prescribed for mental disorders, personality disorders and substance abuse, and the common side effects and adverse reactions to medications.

Provide ethical and professional services to clients and families ensuring confidentiality laws including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) are adhered to at all times.

Recognize, prevent and respond to a situation in which the client may be a danger to himself or others, behaves in an aggressive or destructive manner, is experiencing a crisis situation or medical emergency.

Job Types: Full-time, in-person

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
