Staff RN - Schaumberg - Neurology
Highlights
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00 am–5:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am–2:00 pm.
Location: Schaumberg, IL, with travel as needed to surrounding sites.

Compensation Base pay range: $27.00–$38.50 per hour, with pay determined by skill, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, provides high quality support to physicians in meeting the medical needs of the patient.
Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and readies them for physicians; takes vital signs, records medical history/symptoms, and ensures medical chart and lab test results are available and complete.
Performs telephone triage, patient education, and handling of physician phone calls and pharmacy calls; may assist by arranging appointments, hospital tests, or admissions.
Administers immunizations and minor treatments as prescribed; records and documents all such activities in the chart.
Assists physician with procedures as necessary.
Cleans and stocks all patient examination rooms; cleans and prepares instruments for procedures; maintains a list of needed medical supplies.
Completes paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x‑rays, school/work notes, etc.
Cleans and sterilizes equipment; checks and restocks medication cabinet as necessary.
Responds to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient.
Reports all test results to the patient as directed by the physician.
Performs OSHA controls as required and assists in performing narcotic counts.
Performs other projects and duties related to department objectives.
Must be able to get along with others, be a team player, accept constructive criticism from your supervisor, and follow work rules.
Utilizes current nursing practices to provide patient care while focusing on patient needs and exemplifying service excellence, care, respect, and cooperation; functions as a patient advocate by being the initial contact for patient‑related issues.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Current Illinois RN licensure.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current CPR certification.
Preference for a minimum of one year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting, but new graduates may be considered under specific circumstances.
