Job Overview
Whittier Street Health Center is seeking a full‑time WIC Nutritionist. The role involves providing individualized medical nutrition therapy and culturally sensitive nutrition education to patients and families, with a focus on chronic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. Responsibilities also include supporting group programs, community events, and cooking demonstrations to help Boston’s diverse communities access healthier choices and achieve better outcomes.
Pay & Benefits Base pay range:
$29.00/hr – $31.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities
Provide one‑on‑one nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy.
Support weekly diabetes clinics, group medical visits, and WIC programs.
Deliver culturally sensitive nutrition education for chronic disease prevention and management.
Collect and document anthropometric data and dietary assessments.
Prescribe appropriate WIC food packages and create educational resources.
Facilitate group sessions, cooking demonstrations, and community outreach events.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote health equity.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, or a related field.
Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) is a plus but not required.
At least 1 year of clinical or community nutrition counseling experience.
Strong documentation and assessment skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with multicultural and diverse populations.
Flexibility to work at multiple sites, with occasional evenings or weekends.
