Mary Washington Hospital is seeking an experienced leader to join them as their next Chief CRNA in beautiful Fredericksburg, Virginia!
The Position
The Chief CRNA provides leadership and oversight of clinical, quality, and operational initiatives at MWHC, Stafford Hospital, and Fredericksburg Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Reporting to the Medical Director of Anesthesia, this leader will oversee four direct reports and 55 FTEs across three locations.
Responsible for recruitment of additional CRNAs into the department, filling vacancies, and stabilizing the department. Also evaluate the department and identify areas of operational improvement.
This role will be primarily clinical (approximately 70%–80%) with some administrative responsibilities, including creating the daily work schedule and on‑call schedule.
The ideal candidate will be a decisive, collaborative leader with integrity and honesty, capable of serving as a competent and reliable leader. Must be able to build strong relationships and have experience working in large, complex academic healthcare environments.
The position will be based at the Mary Washington facility with regular travel and rotation to additional locations.
Requirements
Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred.
Active RN license required.
Current NBCRNA certification and Virginia Nurse Practitioner licensure in Anesthesia are required.
Minimum of 10 years of anesthesia experience, including at least 5 years serving as an Assistant Chief or Chief.
