Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
14 years of experience leading negotiations or business development.
Experience leading negotiations or business development for real‑estate acquisition projects in the Americas.
Experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with build‑to‑suit development, site selection projects, real‑estate evaluation, acquisition, development, construction, partnering, or managing utility agreements or telecommunications infrastructure.
Experience with the various real‑estate markets in North and South America, including an established network and understanding of the market dynamics.
Experience leading cross‑functional programs.
Ability to work separately with awareness of the objectives of stakeholder groups and partner teams.
Ability to navigate and negotiate a wide array of issues, solutions, and products as needed.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.

As the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google’s future — everything from underwater cables to physical data‑center space — you will combine your deep market knowledge with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost‑effective solutions to support Google’s infrastructure growth.
You’ll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships, and presenting deal recommendations to our tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.
In this role, you will manage a team of negotiators who develop Google’s long‑term infrastructure strategy and negotiate the underlying real‑estate and utility agreements.
You will be responsible for addressing Google’s infrastructure needs in the Americas, building and managing a portfolio of assets, and maintaining a broad network of government and industry leaders.
You will actively contribute to creating and maintaining a collaborative culture that delivers quality solutions and innovative products.
Responsibilities
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of negotiators and contribute to the growth and development of the organization.
Lead negotiations and business development engagements.
Develop and maintain relationships within the team and across Google teams, as well as within the professional network, while working toward common objectives.
Develop collaborative relationships across functions that permit an awareness of work in progress and relevant work completed.
Handle situations with professionalism while striving for beneficial outcomes.
