Senior Operations Director, Ambulatory Imaging Job Summary

Directs ambulatory operations to optimize patient care and support organizational goals. Oversees strategy development with stakeholders, identifies business value drivers, aligns workflow and performance targets, partners across the organization, ensures compliance, and drives financial performance through budget control. Leads multidisciplinary clinical teams, monitors operational and technology process improvements, and consults with executive management on performance metrics.

Essential Responsibilities

Build organizational capacity and prepare high-potential talent for growth; establish collaborative networks inside and outside the organization; create feedback frameworks and coaching practices; drive continuous learning; oversee recruitment, selection, and development of talent; share industry best practices; motivate and empower teams; guide difficult decisions and expand decision-making scope.

Oversee operations of multiple units/departments, translating strategy into actionable requirements; manage work allocation and completion; set and communicate goals; analyze resources, costs, and forecasts; remove obstacles; resolve escalated issues; influence executive leadership and strategy.

Direct ambulatory operations, anticipating business issues, aligning workflow, optimizing initiatives, anticipating and mitigating barriers, planning compliance readiness, and maintaining budget goals.

Ensure standardized care delivery via enterprise interdependencies; build relationships with leaders; align resources; oversee multidisciplinary leaders; plan emergency preparedness programs; provide strategic direction to project teams and ensure communication at enterprise level.

Improve patient-centered operations and technology processes; forecast direction for strategic projects; provide oversight on internal and external initiatives; use analysis to implement new practices; integrate performance metrics for sustainability.

Minimum six (6) years of clinical radiology experience, including five (5) years of progressively responsible radiology supervisory or management experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum four (4) years managing operational or project budgets.

Minimum four (4) years in a leadership role with direct reports.

Minimum seven (7) years of customer or member/patient service experience.

Bachelor's degree in business, nursing, health care, or a related field AND minimum nine (9) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or related field OR minimum twelve (12) years of experience in that area.
