Citi Trends Job Summary The Store Manager is responsible for supporting merchandising, operations, and human resources functions to achieve or exceed planned sales and profits. This proactive, vigilant leader remains highly engaged with customers, demonstrates integrity and effective communication, and thrives in a dynamic retail setting. The role builds a positive work culture, drives employee involvement, and supports change management efforts. Duties/Responsibilities Recruit, interview, hire, counsel, and terminate employees in accordance with legal compliance and internal processes. Maintain financial controls including shrink, payroll, and other operating expenses. Ensure proper inventory controls, facilitate inventory transactions, and maintain compliance standards. Monitor sales activities to ensure customers receive satisfactory service. Direct and supervise employees in sales, inventory-taking, cash receipt reconciling, and customer service. Ensure staff adherence to all Citi Trends, Inc. policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations. Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 3–5 years of retail experience as a Store Manager. 5–7 years of overall retail experience. Physical Requirements Scheduled to work 45 hours per week; able to perform essential physical functions. Squat/Kneel/Stoop (frequent to continuous) Stand/Bend/Walk (frequent to continuous) Twist (occasional to frequent) Reach above shoulder (occasional to frequent) Lift/Carry (occasional to frequent) Push/Pull (occasional to frequent) Use of hands (manual dexterity, grasping, frequent to continuous) Equal employment opportunities are provided to all employees and applicants for employment.
