General Manager
to lead the resort, elevate guest experience, and build a culture of excellence across all departments. www.windward.life
This is an opportunity to shape a flagship Caribbean property from its first season, working closely with ownership to deliver world-class service, exceptional food & beverage, and an unforgettable guest journey.
Key Responsibilities Resort Leadership & Operations Lead all day-to-day operations of the resort, ensuring seamless coordination across Guest Services, F&B, Culinary, Housekeeping, Facilities, and Reservations. Establish clear standards, SOPs, and daily operational rhythms across departments. Develop a high-performance culture with accountability, communication, and professionalism at its core.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence Deliver an elevated, personalized guest experience reflective of a modern luxury boutique resort. Be highly visible to guests, anticipate needs, resolve issues, and ensure every touchpoint is thoughtful and memorable. Build systems for guest feedback, continuous improvement, and service recovery. Partner closely with the Executive Chef and FOH leadership to deliver outstanding culinary experiences. Oversee menu execution quality, service standards, cost control, beverage program, pacing, and inventory discipline. Maintain a culture of hospitality, creativity, and excellence throughout all F&B operations.
Team Development & Culture Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of local and international staff. Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and professional growth pathways. Foster a positive, collaborative, and energetic environment aligned with Windward’s values. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, payroll, purchasing, and cost control. Drive revenue opportunities across rooms, F&B, activities, and experiences. Implement efficient systems across procurement, inventory, and reporting.
Owner Partnership Work directly with ownership to execute the resort vision. Provide transparent reporting, insights, and proactive recommendations. Represent the resort with professionalism in community and partner relationships.
Qualifications Minimum 10+ years
in senior leadership roles within upscale or luxury resorts/hotels. Strong
Food & Beverage background
required; multi-outlet experience preferred. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams. Experience in
remote island, destination, or boutique resorts
is a significant advantage. Strong financial management skills including budgeting, payroll control, and P&L oversight. Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and guest-engagement skills. A hands‑on, solutions‑oriented leadership style suited to island operations. Knowledge of Caribbean hospitality markets is a plus.
