Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, capability simulations, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware, software, firmware, and integration and test specifications. Interfacing with multiple disciplines, including customers, internal executive management, program management, hardware, software, system engineering, procurement, suppliers, and manufacturing. The applicant must also lead, and report progress for requirements documentation, technical risk management, key system performance parameters, and lessons learned.

Responsibilities

Design and develop multifunction RF sensor system architectures and define key capabilities and performance requirements.

Create, evolve, and maintain the System Architecture that supports customer requirements, cost, and development schedule, including modularity, scalability, and extensibility.

Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Perform RF performance modeling.

Develop thorough definition of system interfaces.

Define the system implementation approach and operational concept.

Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Lead / oversee technical work products developed by the larger engineering team, supporting design reviews and integration and test activities as needed.

Support capture activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, customer presentations and demonstrations, and competitor analysis.

Maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies and develop strategies for their insertion into both legacy and next‑generation sensors.

Develop modifications to existing products to meet unique customer needs, and support / lead the development of next‑generation products within a market segment.

Provide presentations to customers and senior management, with tailored material based on the audience.

Apply new technologies as well as common designs and products enabling rapid development, prototyping and affordable solutions.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, master’s degree with 10 years of experience or Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active DoD Secret Clearance.

4 years of experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) or Radar system design / development.

4 years of experience with RF systems engineering.

2 years of experience with algorithm development.

Experience with MATLAB.

Preferred Qualifications

Leadership experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) or radar systems development and/or production program execution.

Experience leading technical teams.

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) experience.

High proficiency in technical problem solving; including decomposition, root‑cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring.

Multi‑disciplined knowledge in areas related to engineering including systems design, hardware, software and firmware design, integration and test.

RF or EW technology background with sensors development and implementation experience.

Salary and Compensation Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 – $253,600.00

The standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long‑Term Incentives.
