in San Jose, CA. The position is open in TSMC’s San Jose office with a hybrid work schedule of four days in office per week.

Overview As an IP Alliance Manager, you will work closely with vendors from TSMC’s IP Alliance to enable them to populate the IP Ecosystem on TSMC’s technology. You will directly collaborate with IP Vendors on leading technologies, support TSMC’s industry events, and report to the Deputy Director of the IP Alliance.

Responsibilities

Support and develop the most extensive IP Ecosystem in collaboration with leading IP vendors on TSMC’s processes, including advanced and specialty processes (RF, BCD, HV, CIS, MEMS, NVM).

Maintain relationships with semiconductor IP vendors that are part of the IP Alliance, covering foundation IP, Interconnect IP, Analog/MS, video/audio IP, and automotive IP.

Provide technical and product support to IP vendors on TSMC processes and technical requirements.

Support TSMC events such as the TSMC Technology Symposium and the OIP™ Event.

Provide publication support for IP Alliance members (press releases, white papers, web posts, videos, blogs).

Collaborate with IP Alliance members, TSMC legal, TSMC9000/IPAE technical team, account teams, IP Operations, and the shuttle team for IP availability.

Direct legal interactions with IP Alliance members and serve as the interface to TSMC legal for agreements (NDAs, IP Alliance agreements, Vendor Technology License agreements, authorization letters).

Drive corrective actions and follow‑up when required.

Facilitate shuttle access for IP Alliance members and monitor silicon results.

Monitor IP Alliance members’ adherence to the IP Alliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

M.Eng. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience.

Knowledge of IP types including Interconnect IP such as HPM, PCIe, USB, SATA, D2D, HP SerDes.

Familiarity with Foundation IP: standard cells, memories, I/O.

Experience with Mixed‑Signal/Analog IP: PLLs, DLLs, PVT sensors, OSC, ADC, DAC.

Experience with Audio/Video IP: MIPI, DSP.

Understanding of Automotive IP requirements.

Understanding of EDA flows and tech file support required for IP development.

Strong program management abilities to drive successful IP development with IP Alliance members, including meeting tapeout requirements and deadlines.

Excellent communication skills to interact with IP Alliance members, TSMC9000/IPAEs, TSMC legal, OIP marketing, shuttle team, and IP Operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Interface IP design experience – PCIe, USB, Ethernet, Analog/Mixed‑Signal, or Foundation IP.

Experience in ASIC design flow and/or ASIC program management.
