Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Research Scientist to join our Global R&D, Skin Research & Innovation team. This role offers a significant opportunity to influence skin health and aging research at our Piscataway, NJ, location.

What You'll Do

Design and Implement Informatics:

Create chemical and biological informatics tools for molecular modeling, screening, and predictive analysis to support research objectives.

Develop AI‑Based Tools:

Build and evaluate AI‑driven molecular biology and modeling methods that align with skin health goals.

Collaborate on New Technologies:

Work with internal and external partners to develop and deploy AI tools and services.

Conduct Hands‑On Evaluation:

Perform wet‑bench assessment of technologies and compounds identified through computational work.

Analyze and Interpret Data:

Extract biological insights from computational outputs and collaborate on result validation.

Communicate Findings:

Present insights through clear visuals and contribute to scientific publications.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree and at least 2 years of experience in Biology, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with bioinformatics, cheminformatics, or computational modeling projects.

Proficiency in programming languages and database tools such as Python, R, C++, and SQL.

Knowledge of computational models and machine learning.

Strong understanding of biology, especially as it relates to skin.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in a related field with at least two years of relevant experience.

Hands‑on experience with human skin cell and tissue cultures (keratinocytes, fibroblasts, skin equivalents, or skin explants).

Experience with advanced computational modeling techniques such as QSAR or molecular docking.

Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage and execute projects effectively.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $83,200.00 – $133,000.00 USD (dependent on experience, qualifications, and location). Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit‑sharing, and long‑term incentives.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, 401(k) retirement plan with company matching (subject to eligibility), minimum 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours), and 13 paid holidays. Summer sick leave information is provided at hire and may be adjusted per local laws.
