Principal Scientist (Director), Outcomes Research
Principal Scientist/Director provides strategic development and implementation of cutting‑edge mathematical and economic models to enhance understanding of diseases, quantify outcomes, and communicate the value of company products to patients, providers, payers, and policymakers. The role offers strategic and technical leadership, utilizing model‑based scientific and business insights across all phases of drug and vaccine development, and serves as the Health Economic and Decision Sciences (HEDS) lead for one or more value evidence teams. Responsibilities
Strategically develop and implement mathematical and economic models for disease understanding and value communication. Provide technical leadership across all phases of drug and vaccine development. Lead HEDS teams in generating health economic, disease, and other mathematical models to enable business and scientific insights. Collaborate with broad stakeholders, including patients, providers, payers, policymakers, and internal teams. Manage research teams, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables. Qualifications
Education
Master’s degree in a quantitatively oriented discipline such as health economics, mathematical epidemiology, applied mathematics, operations research, public health, or statistics. PhD preferred. Required Experience and Skills
Design and development of health economic modeling approaches for internal and external decisions. Design and analysis of mathematical models of infectious diseases and vaccination. Experience managing research teams. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Strong record of research publications in peer‑reviewed journals. Preferred Experience and Skills
