We’re looking for a hands‑on, customer‑focused
Field Service Engineer
to support our pad printing and digital inkjet equipment worldwide. In this role, you’ll be the expert customers rely on—installing, inspecting, customizing, maintaining, and repairing EPS machinery and software systems. If you enjoy solving problems, traveling, and working directly with customers to keep their operations running at peak performance, this is the job for you.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites around the world to provide technical support (up to
75% travel
required).
Install and commission machines, ensuring customers are fully trained and confident in using the equipment.
Perform on‑site repairs, periodic maintenance, and troubleshooting on pad printing and digital inkjet systems.
Deliver on‑site or remote training on RIP software, including color‑matching techniques.
Provide phone and online remote support to customers when not on the road.
Partner with Technical Sales Managers by offering technical expertise and recommendations.
Coach customers on best practices for using EPS consumables, including inks, pads, and plate materials.
Complete detailed documentation of service activities in Salesforce for tracking, communication, and billing.
Provide feedback to Engineering teams on design issues or improvement opportunities.
Maintain accurate and timely expense reports.
Accountabilities / Scope
Interfaces with:
Customers, vendors, internal teams, and management.
People managed:
None directly; may offer guidance to others as needed.
Decision‑making:
Uses sound judgment in real‑time situations, including travel, time management, and customer support.
Impact of error:
High—quality of work directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational performance.
Requirements - Knowledge, Skills & Education
High school diploma or technical school certificate required; 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred, with strong knowledge of machine controls, electrical systems, and tooling.
Solid hands‑on understanding of electro‑mechanical technologies, pneumatics, and pad printing/inkjet applications.
Ability to train customers in RIP software, including color‑matching support.
Working knowledge of solvent‑based and UV‑curable inks.
Familiarity with durometer settings, pad chemistry, and the cliché‑making process.
Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
