Job Description The Solution Architect works closely with regional sales and partner teams to drive technical excellence in solution design, positioning SUSE as a leader in the industry. Responsibilities include consulting with customers, supporting sales presentations, product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical requests.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with customers to understand technical and business needs and identify gaps and opportunities.
Own the technical aspects of deal progression, from qualification to closure.
Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering and communicating feedback to product and engineering teams.
Collaborate with field, partner, and customer success teams to create account plans.
Contribute to go‑to‑market strategies and marketing efforts such as presentations and demos.
Analyze competitor offerings and develop differentiation strategies.
Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
Mentor pre‑sales peers and contribute to internal education.
Maintain CRM hygiene for all opportunities.
Drive professional development and stay current with industry trends.
Skills & Experience
Experience in technical consulting, pre‑sales engineering, or solution architecture for enterprise software.
Strong Linux, open‑source, cloud, and container (Kubernetes) knowledge.
Ability to articulate complex solutions to executive audiences.
Experience in technical demonstrations and whitepapers.
Problem‑solving skills and ability to deliver value‑driven solutions.
Cross‑functional collaboration with sales, engineering, and customer success.
Design and deliver large enterprise solutions—scalable, secure, reliable.
Consultative selling and relationship building.
Competitor analysis and solution positioning.
Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, Clari).
