Clinical Research Nurse: Must Haves:
Registered Nurse with active RN license in state of Illinois, at least 1 year of experience working in Clinical Research Hours:
40 hours per week, normal business hours, onsite (Monday-Friday) Contract Duration:
contract-to-hire, 6 month contract then hired on permanently depending on performance. Benefits:
Medical, Dental, Vision, time off, paid holidays off, etc. Job Summary: The Clinical Research Nurse plays a critical role in the conduct of clinical trials and research studies, ensuring the safe and ethical treatment of participants while supporting the collection of high-quality data. This role combines clinical nursing expertise with knowledge of research protocols and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and conduct clinical research studies in accordance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory requirements. Screen, recruit, and enroll participants according to protocol eligibility criteria. Obtain informed consent and educate participants on study procedures, potential risks, and benefits. Administer investigational products and collect biological samples as required. Monitor and assess participant health and safety throughout the study, reporting adverse events appropriately. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in source documents, case report forms, and electronic databases. Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and other research staff to ensure study milestones and timelines are met. Participate in site initiation visits, monitoring visits, and audits as needed. Ensure proper storage, handling, and accountability of study medications and materials. Maintain current knowledge of research regulations and attend relevant training sessions and meetings. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with current license in Illinois. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred. Previous experience in clinical research or clinical trials strongly preferred. Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements (FDA, MHRA, EMA, etc.). Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using electronic data capture systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
