GENERAL FUNCTION The Associate Optometrist is a leader in the organization, delivering the brand promise and key results through collaboration and teamwork. They ensure all patients receive the highest quality Optometric care while maximizing practice growth.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
Demonstrates commitment to exceed results through strong competency in KPI management.
Ensures Brand is known as the leading optical provider.
Operates as successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local market.
Places the patient/customer 1st and delivers excellent service.
Strives to exceed expectations on all KPIs.
Conveys a commitment to providing unsurpassed Patient Service through the following Service Process steps:
Address all patients’ visual lifestyle needs.
Make eyewear recommendations based on patients’ needs.
Explain each step of the eye exam and listen carefully.
Utilize available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure patient understanding.
Communicate effectively the need for annual eye exams; schedule appointments in TAB.
Conduct all services in accordance with protocol and accepted standards of care.
Ensures all patients receive accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations.
Establishes a positive doctor/patient relationship.
Utilizes technology to deliver unsurpassed patient experiences.
Ensures office systems are maintained.
Maintains State Licensure in good standing and meets continuing education requirements.
Provides effective training and guidance to team members.
Delivers clear, motivating, and constructive feedback timely to all associates.
Creates a positive culture and encourages associate decision making at the patient level.
Maximizes partnerships through leadership, participation, and involvement.
Takes pride in the appearance of the office.
Maintains a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
Leads by example.
Basic Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry.
Commitment to quality patient care.
Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.
Strong communicator and listener.
Problem‑solving ability.
Solid organization skills.
Employee pay is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Compensation may include a competitive bonus or commission plan, complemented by a total rewards package that includes health care, retirement, paid time off, and employee discounts.
