Our team consists of accomplished entrepreneurs, investors, and technology experts with deep expertise in implantable medical devices and neuromodulation therapy. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Principal Systems Engineer located in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area. This highly experienced Systems Engineer will assume the primary system leadership and project management role at a new startup company, coordinating the system development for an implantable neuromodulation system, consistent with company objectives and plans, and system requirements. Key responsibilities include the development of system documentation, including requirements, specifications, risk analyses, test plans and test reports to support system development, as well as oversee and participate in pre-verification, verification and validation testing. This individual will be required to manage project timelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product development goals. Qualifications 10+ years professional experience in medical device development Deep experience with active implantable neuromodulation systems, including typical mechanical and electrical characteristics of implantable neurostimulators, stimulation and sensing leads, external instruments, materials and manufacturing processes Demonstrated success at executing and delivering on lead development for an implantable neuromodulation system Experience with risk and requirements-driven testing, supporting regulatory submissions Successful technical project management skills, including the ability to work with contract design and manufacturing partners Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent technical expertise and leadership, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills Proven experience in Research and Development (R&D) within the medical device industry Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and technical communication skills Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards and design controls for medical devices Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related field Competitive salary, annual bonus program and benefits available.
