Restructuring Director – Dallas Office Lead a team overseeing a diverse range of turnaround, restructuring, performance improvement and corporate advisory projects for underperforming businesses, both in and out of bankruptcy or fiscal distress.
The Team You will manage a multidisciplinary team across all phases of financial and operational restructuring and turnaround initiatives, collaborating closely with senior management and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute restructuring and turnaround plans to improve organization performance and enterprise value.
Manage daily operations of the team, ensuring adherence to plans, budgets, and schedules.
Serve as point of contact for assigned workstreams within client engagements.
Analyze and review company business plans and financial models (13‑week cash flow and three‑statement models).
Lead clients through working capital improvements, bankruptcy preparation, liquidation analysis, credit agreement negotiations, and claims processing.
Assess key business operational performance drivers and develop actionable business plans.
Develop and monitor cost‑reduction initiatives and execution milestones.
Review bankruptcy plans, strategies, disclosure statements, and 363 sales processes.
Implement cash conservation guidelines and controls.
Train, mentor, and evaluate junior staff performance.
Qualifications
10+ years corporate restructuring, investment or commercial banking, or consulting experience, with 5+ years of direct restructuring experience.
BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related analytical fields.
Strong understanding of Chapter 11 proceedings.
Preferred certifications: CTP, CIRA, CPA, CFA.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Ability to identify operational performance drivers, perform cash‑flow forecasting, and support clients across a broad issue set.
Proven leadership in managing workstreams and mentoring junior staff.
Expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
Experience developing business plans, excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for all client levels.
Team player capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to establish credibility and influence clients.
