Your Opportunity We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Oil, Gas & Energy team.

Key Responsibilities

Be the client interface and primary point of communication.

Enforce Stantec and client safety, and quality standards on a project level.

Provide overall project management from engineering through to completion of construction to meet client and project specific requirements.

Prepare and maintain project execution plans and ensure compliance with project plans and procedures.

Direct and coordinate the project engineering team for the design execution of projects.

Promote quality, value, timeliness, and profitability.

Review key project deliverables for technical feasibility and cohesion of multi‑discipline engineering documents.

Identify project resources needed and communicate needs to applicable department personnel.

Provide overall risk management reporting at the portfolio and project level; approve and develop project documents.

Coordinate key meetings or review points.

Ensure local, state, and federal codes and standards are being met.

Manage Project Controls

Develop and refine project cost estimates, including basis of estimate.

Develop, maintain and track progress against master project schedule.

Manage project cost control, budget versus actual, and implement change management activities accordingly.

Monitor, assess and report progress within projects to client and produce applicable project reports.

Work with the Stantec team, oversee and coordinate engineering scope and cost estimation preparation.

Work with the Stantec team to provide direction to procurement for planning, vendor selection, RfQs, bid evaluations, and selections.

Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored properly.

Function as designated contract liaison with client on contract performance and delivery.

Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilisation.

Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for projects.

Work closely with construction management and give guidance and mentorship during construction phase.

Work with supply chain on scope of work and contract document for bidding out construction services.

Promote the HSE program throughout all phases.

Capabilities & Credentials

Flexible execution able to handle multiple projects at any given time.

Manage multiple projects at different project locations.

Experience with developing front‑end project scopes, execution plans, estimates, and schedules for go/no‑go decisions.

Project work experience in upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas industry.

Project work experience in the energy transition (hydrogen, CCUS, biofuels, etc.) is an asset.

Ability to read and understand technical documents incl. legal contracts and new tech.

Experienced in writing proposals.

Extensive experience with liquid/gas pipeline system design, facility design, terminal design, construction, and federal/state regulation jurisdictions.

Past experience of supervising other engineering staff/project teams.

Experience with US jurisdictions and their acts and regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.

Travel (≈20%) to field locations across the US based client and project needs.

Good driving record and valid driver license required.

Pre‑employment drug screen passing.

Education & Experience Minimum eight years of oil and gas experience required as project manager. Professional engineer designation and business development experience preferred.

Pay Range Locations: MN, OH, VT & various CA, NY. Minimum salary : $128,600.00 - Max salary: $192,900.00.
