YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY The Safety Manager administers project safety programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. They may be responsible for one project or multiple small projects, reporting to a Senior Safety Manager or Regional Safety Director and potentially managing Safety Coordinators and Field Safety Specialists.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead daily audits of all work areas and provide safety expertise in response to identified deficiencies.

Prepare professional reports, conduct safety briefings, and act as company spokesperson for site safety issues.

Resolve site safety issues and provide emergency response as needed.

Identify gaps and implement safety program elements to comply with customer and regulatory requirements.

Direct investigations of all injury and loss incidents, identify causal factors, and implement corrective measures.

Conduct safety training, testing, and record‑keeping for all employees, sub‑contractors and other site personnel.

Act as an advisor to management and customer agencies to ensure safety requirements are communicated and fulfilled.

Manage the project’s safety program budget, planning, and distribution of safety equipment and training aids.

Develop and review the site safety plan and contribute to project start‑up meetings.

Review the three‑week look‑ahead, ensure crisis‑management plans and clinic/medical facility set‑ups.

Ensure LOTO procedures and first‑time energization at the project site.

Review Method of Procedures (MOPS) and participate in RCAs to prevent reoccurring events.

Maintain training documents, permits, certifications and toolbox meetings.

Coordinate injury case management with insurance representatives and vendors.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.

Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and safety audit software.

Strong organizational, record‑keeping, and follow‑up skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing requirements.

Self‑motivation, proactive attitude and effective teamwork.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Professional interaction with all levels of employees, management, vendors and clients.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US

Preferred bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety & Health or related field.

Professional Safety Certification (e.g., Graduate Safety Practitioner, Construction Health & Safety Tech) preferred.

6 years of applicable safety construction experience preferred.

Combination of training, education and relevant work experience acceptable.

TRAVEL Up to 100%

WORKING CONDITIONS

General work environment includes sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.

Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Work conducted in indoor office settings and outdoor construction job sites; environmental conditions vary.
