Roles and Responsibilities This role is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for solutions at the program or portfolio level, to deliver significant business outcomes. The key responsibilities include continuously improving the design, quality, and reuse of the solution and delivering technology enablers that improve development efficiencies. Expectations include familiarity with at least one area of engineering, acting as a “go to” reference across the organization, and applying knowledge to improve technical competencies through recruitment and development activities.

Position Summary This role is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for Bank of America’s Stablecoin solutions. It includes complex features to deliver significant business outcomes, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership, and maintaining end‑to‑end solution design and delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop the engineering approach for the entire program/portfolio solution and work with Architecture to develop, analyze, and deliver the implementation of technical enablers.

Lead the planning, definition, and design of complex features that span multiple teams and explore solution alternatives.

Create ideas for designing complex technology and solution development approaches.

Lead the technical oversight for teams in solution development, including design reviews and code within one's domain.

Define the technology tool stack for the solution within the range of internally approved and supported technologies.

Explore state‑of‑the‑art technologies to improve development efficiencies, quality of test/QA coverage, and release management.

Lead and be responsible for the end‑to‑end test strategy/creation/adherence and the integration between teams for a program/portfolio solution.

Ensure that the Stablecoin design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger payments ecosystem.

Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tools/frameworks/practices for team(s).

Enable team(s)/applications with CI/CD capabilities and engage with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of the CI/CD pipeline.

Guide and influence teams on design and best practices for high code performance – e.g., pairing, code reviews.

Provide end‑to‑end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level.

Conduct research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI/CD, and features.

Work with stakeholders to establish high‑level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 8 years’ work experience in Software Engineering.

Experience designing crypto‑currency solutions.

Knowledge of emerging blockchain trends, protocols, and experience with layer‑2 scaling solutions.

Knowledge of blockchain/digital asset technologies.

Deep understanding of custody and technical patterns in digital assets.

Understanding of retail/commercial stablecoin environment.

Pay Transparency details US - CA - San Francisco - 315 Montgomery St - 315 Montgomery (CA5704) Pay and benefits information Pay range $156,500.00 - $230,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
