Re:Car, a subsidiary of Re:Build Manufacturing, is a new company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.
Who we are looking for
The Software Project Lead will lead the vehicle software execution team with development plans and releasing responsibilities for the company.This position will be responsible for working cross functionally to ensure the software development for the company has a high-quality execution.
What you get to do
In this position the candidate will develop specific system requirements and manage the development, sourcing, and engineering of these solutions.
Lead and manage software engineering team for the development of vehicle domains such as LV systems, HV propulsion and/or Safety modules (ESC/EPS, Airbag, camera interface, gateway).
Define scope and develop detailed software development plan and release strategy including key tasks, milestones, sprints and deliverables both at vehicle level integration and component level.
Work with cross-functional and program management team to coordinate vehicle development, identify risks and drive the execution of planned tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within defined scope.
Provide regular communications on project status, risks, quality of software status, requirements metrics and resources related issues to project stakeholders and management.
Support RFI/RFQ efforts by working with direct and indirect suppliers in developing and reviewing requirements, sourcing package and scope of project. Ensure desired functional acceptance criteria meets required standards.
Ensure software work products and deliverables are in compliance with ISO-26262 guidelines and ASPICE process. Participate in gates reviews, audits and quality assessments.
Must have hands-on experience to deal with surge in software engineering in the event of program milestones/sprints releases.
Schedule communication meetings, stand-ups and scrum meetings for a specific sprint or milestone during vehicle development.
Engage and manage Tier1/2 software vendors, engineering consulting services and software stack providers by planning and identifying milestones need. Ensure quality work products meet standards for deliverables.
Act as liaison for manufacturing, end-of-line, public-key-infrastructure (PKI) and industrialization for software deliverables during development and production phase.
Support ECU and subsystem validation testing.
Work collaboratively across staff engineering disciplines to align Software development initiatives and activities with good negotiation skills.
Mentor and coach team members.
What you bring to the team
Bachelors degree in engineering in one of the major specializations: Electrical and/or Computer engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science.
Minimum of 10 years experience in automotive software development using embedded C/C++ programming or model-based controls design.
Minimum of 3 years' in leadership role, managing a team of software engineers in a large or complex automotive project environment from concept to launch.
Minimum of 3 years' software project management experience developing and delivering software work products in compliance with ISO-26262 guidelines and ASPICE standards.
Minimum of 2 years experience in AUTOSAR development or integration of software components.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of science degree in engineering in Electrical and/or Computer engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science.
Experience in managing team at OEM level developing vehicle software engineering, interfaces to vehicle modules, resolving issues at vehicle level or validation.
Experience with creating and maintaining project dashboards for burn-down, heatmaps, timing and effort estimation using standard tools for project status reporting and tracking.
Experience with model-based design using MATLAB-Simulink in controls engineering or algorithm development.
Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity and it infrastructure implementation.
Experience with multi-core, pre-emptive RTOS and base software development in AUTOSAR environment and its configurations to meet functional and/or safety requirements.
Experience with vehicle serial communication protocol development such as CAN/CAN-FD, SPI and LIN
Extensive experience in requirements, change and configuration management tools such as Polarian, DOORS-NG, JIRA, Bitbucket, IBM-RTC etc.
Experience in debugging software using debuggers, instrumentation tools such as ETAS-INCA, CANape or CANoe/CANalyzer.
Connect with key software technology consortiums and committees.
Experience with AUTOSAR basic software (BSW) configuration tools such as EB-Tresos, Vector AUTOSAR tools or similar configurators.
