What You Will Do The Director of Forecasting will lead forecasting efforts for several brands and therapeutic areas within the Amgen portfolio. This role will develop unbiased long‑term forecasts for global pipeline assets, lead and mentor a high‑performing forecasting team, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners.
Lead teams of forecasters to deliver high‑quality performance predictions to commercial business leaders across Amgen’s pipeline portfolio assets
Collaborate closely with business partners across Commercial, Operations and Finance
Instill a strong dedication to quality and standards in forecast methodologies and presentations, ensuring final products are well vetted and reliable
Apply analytical approaches and frameworks to solve structured and unstructured problems
Maintain consistency in forecasting processes, development, and presentation
Act as a thought leader for forecasting capability, encouraging adoption of best practices, guardrails, and new methods
Serve as primary contact for senior Therapeutic Area leaders to engage with forecasting
Balance demands from inline and pipeline assets across business units and therapeutic areas
Drive productivity and efficiency by streamlining forecasting processes where possible
What We Expect of You Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree and ≥4 years of forecasting and/or commercial insights experience
or Master’s degree and ≥7 years of forecasting and/or commercial insights experience
or Bachelor’s degree and ≥9 years of forecasting and/or commercial insights experience
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, or programs
Biopharma industry experience
Leadership experience in building high‑performing teams, delivering results, and shaping the future
Ability to quickly establish credibility and influence SVP/EVP level staff
Align team to best practices and champion new innovative methodologies and tools
Strong business acumen for pharmaceutical markets in relevant disease areas
Partner with business leaders to deliver high‑quality predictions that guide strategy
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to explain complex concepts to senior audiences
Track record of managing projects from concept to completion
Quick learner, proactive, takes initiative

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted; actual salary will vary based on experience and qualifications.
