Executive Assistant (Remote, Part‑Time) Boston Islamic Seminary (BIS) Hourly Rate:

$22–$25/hour

The Boston Islamic Seminary seeks a detail‑oriented and professional

Executive Assistant

to support administrative operations, student affairs, tuition coordination, and recruitment activities. This part‑time remote role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to serve students and prospective applicants with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support:

Manage calendars, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, draft correspondence, organize digital files, and support daily operational needs.

Student Affairs:

Serve as a primary point of contact for students; assist with registration, course access, academic forms, deadlines, and general guidance; update and maintain student records.

Student Recruitment:

Respond to prospective student inquiries, schedule virtual sessions, assist with application processing, maintain applicant data, and support recruitment communication.

Tuition Coordination:

Track tuition payments, send reminders, support payment plan arrangements, maintain accurate financial records, and coordinate tuition updates with the Finance Office.

Academic Support (MIRL Program):

Assist with course logistics, syllabi collection, course‑page updates, evaluations, grade submissions, event coordination, and handbook updates.

Communications & Website Support:

Draft announcements, update website content, manage mailing lists, and assist with academic and community event coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

3+ years of administrative experience (higher education or nonprofit preferred).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.

Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual communication tools.

Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Student Management Systems (SMS).

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
