Responsibilities
Support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams to exceed customer expectations.
Assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions.
Collaborate with local functions that impact quality results to reach targets for the organizational unit and aim for world‑class performance.
Conduct and develop test protocols to ensure products, systems, or software meet specified requirements and customer expectations, including Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) as applicable.
Lead quality control activities across supplier quality, production, testing, and engineering.
Support the deployment of strategy and objectives for quality management within the local ABB organizational unit.
Execute and assist the local organization with quality content, tools, and systems.
Lead structured problem‑solving initiatives using tools such as 8D, DMAIC, and FMEA.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or 6 years of related experience.
Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
Availability to travel within the US for internal audits or customer visits.
Experience with customer complaint handling and supplier quality management.
Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality standards.
Must already have work authorization to work in the US.

Salary Range: $91,000 – $121,000 (Durham, NC) – $54,900 – $82,400 (Haw River, NC)
