Summary
Ensure quality eyewear is distributed to customers. Direct coordination within the Manufacturing and Distribution areas to address quality issues. Train and coach staff to support quality aspects of the manufacturing procedures.
Pay Class and Pay
Pay Class: Full Time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.18 per hour
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for adhering to all Company and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) eyewear quality standards.
Responsible for achieving area KPI goals.
Effectively communicate with Manufacturing (Digital Surface, Special Surface, Finishing, AR and Maintenance) and Distribution (DC and Floor Operations) leadership to address issues that are currently impacting customer quality and present solutions to assist in reducing repeat occurrences.
Proficient in all areas pertinent to quality, to include, but not limited to breakage data entry, process variable verification, shipping to customers, evaluating both uncut and finished eyewear to ensure all quality standards and customer expectations are adhered to.
Monitor and identify opportunities for quality improvement and provide solutions using structured problem solving techniques for immediate results to include working with vendors/suppliers to test new products designed to enhance quality and efficiency as needed.
Train and provide coaching to associates to ensure enforcement of quality standards listed in Company documents and National Standards Regulations, along with assisting in interviewing potential new section associates, and supporting Cross Training to develop team.
Receive and evaluate jobs that may be returned from customers to troubleshoot any quality issues and training opportunities.
Maintain measuring systems, verify calibrations, return defective systems for repair, order and maintain suitable consumable, manual measuring device and hand tool supply levels while maintaining a standardized setup at each workstation.
Drive continuous improvement in daily work activities, while providing the proactive leadership necessary to achieve and maintain a continuous improvement mindset for the team.
Practice and comply with all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS), as well as regulations that promote a safe and healthy workplace environment, to include compliance and enforcement of PPE and 6S requirements at all times.
Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience & Background
Three years of experience working in a fast‑paced environment with a record of continuously increased responsibility.
Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Experience utilizing standards from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Experience in working with structured procedures and processes.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend complex English instructions, correspondence and/or memos as required, as well as the capacity to write similar correspondence, relaying opportunities or findings and conduct training.
Skill to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and group settings is necessary.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform the analytical mathematics demanded by the business functions.
Aptitude to perform these operations using standard units of measurement, distance, weight, volume, and currency.
Additional skills to measure and compute lens power and prism is required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions.
General problem solving abilities.
Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to apply analytical tools and common understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions and interpret diagrams and/or forms.

Physical Demands / Work Environment
Required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle, feel, pick or pinch, and talk or hear most of the time.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. When lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, require two or more people.
Noise level moderate (use of computers, printers and machines).
Work varying schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays.
