Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Process Operations Coordinator at our Carlin operation. The successful candidate will coordinate activities within the operational group and with other support groups.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate understanding of plant operations and capable of making sound business decisions, troubleshoot and assess operational issues.
Coordinate day to day, weekly and monthly activities performed by operations.
Plan and execute operational needs for yearly and monthly scheduled down.
Coordinate/synchronize maintenance and operations tasks/projects to streamline work efficiency.
Set up short- and long-term manpower schedules.
Coordinate weekly, monthly, and shutdown maintenance and operations shutdown activities to minimize process loss.
Direct and manage day crew activity to achieve safe, efficient, and optimal production.
Efficiently order any operational items needed through SAP. (Tools, PPE, ETC)
Work with plant metallurgist and engineers to ensure plant operations are operating with latest technologies.
Track and close out work orders once verified work is completed.
Manage contractors being utilized by operations to ensure all jobs are completed safely and efficiently as the End User.
Set up contracts and work scopes, acquire job bids from contractors to ensure competitive pricing.
Understand proper contract and purchase cost elements (GL accounts) in SAP.
Ensure best safety practices are being used and address any safety related concerns immediately.
Manage/coordinate operator training strategies including procedures and LOTO systems/documentation.
Develop and implement new operating procedures.
Create standard job plans for operational jobs.
Qualifications
Minimum of four (4) to eight (8) years of working in an operation function.
Proven safety record and ability to support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals.
Supervisory experience.
Ability to understand role and how it contributes to the overall output and business objectives.
Ability to pace own work and work unsupervised; capable of re-adjusting priorities when necessary.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all media forms including the ability to deliver clear and concise information to employees and contractors on all levels.
Demonstrated ability to perform essential function of the position.

About Nevada Gold Mines Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.
