Overview
Remote Enterprise Data Consultant – Senior Collibra Lineage Developer at First Citizens Bank. Design and implement automated data lineage solutions to ensure traceability of data throughout its lifecycle. Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive understanding of data flows, transformations, and dependencies across systems. Responsibilities
Implement automated Lineage scanners and present results via interactive Lineage diagrams. Obtain lineage from BI & ETL tools and reverse‑engineering processes. Analyze data sources and work with Product team to define lineage scanner scope. Implement algorithms and complex logic to extract lineage from sources such as API outputs and XML files. Optimize performance, troubleshoot complex lineage processing pipelines, and participate in architectural design. Cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to create a well‑integrated and customer‑friendly product. Code in Python, optimize performance, and troubleshoot lineage processing workflows. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in Data Management, Financial Analysis, or similar OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Data Management, Financial Analysis, or similar. Additional Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience developing in Java and Spring Framework. Strong experience with relational databases. Experience with microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines. Strong familiarity with agile development and code versioning tools (Git). Bonus: familiarity with Elasticsearch. Experience in Python. Proficiency in data modeling tools and ETL platforms (DataStage, Informatica, SSIS, DBT). Knowledge of leading PaaS providers, Data Lakes, Databases, and Integration platforms (SQL, Databricks, GCP, Snowflake). Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to illustrate data lineage. Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems. Agile mindset and experience with scrum/kanban. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Leadership qualities to mentor junior team members. Understanding of data governance and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA). Benefits
