Quality Management Support Specialist (Secret Clearance Required)
We are seeking a Quality Management Support Specialist to provide comprehensive quality management services in alignment with the requirements of NSWC Crane and ISO 9001:2015 standards. This role involves supporting the Quality Focal Point (QFP) and associated Division Head by driving quality improvements, managing documentation, supporting training, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Program Support: Support the implementation and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Quality Program Support: Aim to achieve NSWC Crane QFP certification within 18 months of appointment through provided training and experiential learning.
Quality Program Support: Assist in developing and maintaining the organization's Quality Plan, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Quality Program Support: Provide assistance in internal evaluations, audits, and continuous improvement events.
Documentation and Records Management: Develop, manage, and control quality documents, including operating procedures, process documents, controlled documents, and audit reports.
Documentation and Records Management: Serve as a documentation custodian or support documentation management functions.
Documentation and Records Management: Manage lifecycle records, including identification, storage, and tracking, ensuring compliance with formal documentation standards.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Attend, document, and provide administrative support for Continuous Improvement (CI) meetings and initiatives.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Use tools such as the Crane Action Management System (CAMS) to document, track, and report improvement efforts.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Support process enhancement through statistical techniques, root cause analysis, and performance reporting.
Metrics Development and Risk Management: Develop, track, and report on quality metrics to measure internal operations and program effectiveness.
Metrics Development and Risk Management: Support the organization’s risk management program by identifying, managing, and mitigating risks.
Metrics Development and Risk Management: Facilitate risk-based thinking and assist with strategic risk management boards and activities.
Communication and Collaboration: Actively participate in corporate quality forums, initiatives, and training sessions.
Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels, including quality leadership, stakeholders, and employees.
Communication and Collaboration: Represent quality functions at meetings and disseminate information to relevant parties.
Training and Educational Support: Develop and deliver training programs related to quality processes, tools, and ISO 9001 implementation.
Training and Educational Support: Support organizational learning and provide instruction for stakeholders, employees, and customers on quality management processes and techniques.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and a willingness to learn and grow within the quality management domain.
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training and certification is preferred.
Experience with document management systems, quality metrics, and continuous improvement processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey technical information clearly.
Proficiency in using quality management software tools like CAMS and other document tracking systems.
Secret level DoD Clearance.
